High Rankin & Monsta’s:Fear and Loathing UK & EU Tour… 3000
The basic premise for the tour is to find ourselves spiritually through a demented haze of booze, jungle and mind expanding narcotics! But where could we be?! Maybe in a tea shop tucked away on the Cornish coast or perhaps lurking in a seedy London back street. It’s almost certain we wont know until we have a look.
High Rankin hailing from the Breakbeat Kaos and Dogs On Acid camp will provide the sound track while the ever excitable Monsta, known for his work with Metalheadz and Dogs On Acid with be putting pen to paper in the far out way that only he knows how.
Under cover of stupidity the couple plan to set off in a Winnebago armed with nothing more than foolish dreams of comic ideals, plenty of booze and a big back of dub plates.
High Rankin will also be providing a written account of the exploits in his off key, gonzo hand and the edition of a video camera isn’t a bad idea!
This will be gonzo journalism jungle style and should make for interesting reading accompanied by Monsta’s fantastic artwork.
Oh also a key factor is that we have never actually met!!

The first release is gonna be:- SHADYBRAIN 001 -
A - Catacomb - Buried Alive (Misanthrop RMX)
Misanthrop is one of the scene’s most promising producers and is sure to gain much attention with releases on Teebee`s Subtitles and Mayhem`s Shadow Law. In this tune, a simplistic intro gives way to a devastating drop that takes no prisoners. The tension continues to build as the heavy reece and epic stab call back and forth, taking the tune far further than just the drop. The man of the hour delivers another perfect example of dance floor terror that will punish any venue.
AA - Misanthrop - Strange Planet (Catacomb RMX)Canada`s finest Catacomb has been heard previously on labels such as Darkitek and Citrus. With this Remix they have taken their work to another level. Angelic pads and soft textures mislead you through the intro until the vocal hook drops and a wall of sound smashes through the midrange with crisp drums. The track progresses into a halftime second break down, showing why Catacomb are to be watched closely.
