Now that they’ve gotten their feet wet offering mobile interfaces for WM5/WM6 platforms, DnbRadio has just launched their iPhone/iPod Touch friendly version of the site.
The iPhone-mimic interface has large buttons for easy touch navigation and playback.
The streaming features utilize the Quiktime playback functions that already exist on the phone so there are no additional software downloads needed to listen to the live shoutcast streams or the podcast links.
Further plans for the interface include song tagging, favorites, and rating right from your device. Take a look for yourself!
DnbRadio.com has created a new web portal that caters to the mobile community. The new site features a flash player button useful for playing the stream directly in your browser — works if you have Adobe’s PocketFlash (or variant) installed. Other options for live listening are the various playlist file formats that include the server addresses that are supported by most stream-capable players such as Core Player (freeware) and the fully featured PocketPlayer which requires registration for continued use but is worth the small price if you are interested in podcast/feed streaming.
More links further down on DnbRadio’s mobile page are more podcast links to their top ten mix downloads as well as the main feed link that you can copy/paste to your RSS reader or podcast. I was able to plug dnbradio’s rss url’s into my PocketPlayer which brought up a list of all the latest DnbRadio episodes. I was able to click an item from the list and immediately begin playing it.
More to come at the mobile site are customizable mix playlists and feeds that let load your chosen playlist of mixes directly to your player.

Intrinsic Recordings has spread its wings recently with owners Jeryl and Danny Intrikut signing artists onto ‘three single’ deals in order to work closer with them and help build their profiles more. As always the focus is on new and underexposed producers, the first generation of Intrinsic signings Kubiks, BCee & Lomax, Chino & Submorphics, Redeyes and Mutt having already proven that Intrinsic has a good eye for talent. Misanthrop is one of the scene’s most promising producers and is sure to gain much attention with releases on Teebee`s Subtitles and Mayhem`s Shadow Law. In this tune, a simplistic intro gives way to a devastating drop that takes no prisoners. The tension continues to build as the heavy reece and epic stab call back and forth, taking the tune far further than just the drop. The man of the hour delivers another perfect example of dance floor terror that will punish any venue.
AA - Misanthrop - Strange Planet (Catacomb RMX)
Canada`s finest Catacomb has been heard previously on labels such as Darkitek and Citrus. With this Remix they have taken their work to another level. Angelic pads and soft textures mislead you through the intro until the vocal hook drops and a wall of sound smashes through the midrange with crisp drums. The track progresses into a halftime second break down, showing why Catacomb are to be watched closely.
